Informal Zoom Water Meeting to Discuss Lead and Copper Survey 02/16/2024

Present: Jennifer McGavin, Davis Walton, Jeff Cowan, Rob Day, Linda Day

We met with David Blackburn and Andrew Davis via zoom.
David is in charge of inventories in our area of the state and Andrew is the GIS man.
The Lead and Copper Survey was done to become compliant with EPA and State standards for water companies.
Andrew did our inventory via GIS and documents and plats we provided. He used imagery from early 1990s to determine that nothing had been built prior to that.
We know now that the water system was built after all lead and lead-solder was banned (1980s) from water systems.
David and Andrew said our water system is an “ideal” inventory.
They are sending us the maps they created and then will put final changes in if necessary. Our inventory will be one of the first submitted in the state and should be submitted in a few months.
